Minimum Stay & Booking Policy

Minimum Stay

• Off-peak: 2 night minimum
• Peak season (December/January): 7 night minimum
• Public holidays and school holidays: minimum stay varies. We do not accept short bookings that would prevent longer stays. Bookings at the very start or tail end of a holiday period may be considered at our discretion. Long weekends must include the full long weekend.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of R2,500 is required for use of the cottage and watercraft. It is returned immediately via EFT at the end of your stay, provided the cottage and boats are returned in good order.

Payment

• Provisional reservations are held for 48 hours pending receipt of deposit
• Bookings 30+ days before arrival: 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm, balance due 30 days before arrival
• Bookings less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of total booking value payable upfront

Cancellation

• The 50% deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances
• Cancel 30+ days before arrival: all payments beyond the deposit refunded in full
• Cancel less than 30 days before arrival: no refund of any payments
• We will make all reasonable efforts to rebook your dates. If successful, any revenue received will be offset against your booking value and any balance refunded to you
• Cancellation due to death or hospitalisation: full refund upon submission of sufficient proof
